Ilakiya was full of mixed emotions as she packed a bag with her essentials to stay with Aaran. She was almost finished when Vasugi came near and started talking, “ Hey that was so kind of Aaran to invite us both to stay at his house for a week. Last time rains were too bad and we had suffered like anything. He is too good a friend to think about us in such a situation. But just tell me one thing. Have you met his people before? Are they too friendly like him? ” She started pouring questions that Ilakiya partly registered. Her mind was elsewhere. When Ilakiya and Aaran were thinking how to be in touch with each other in the upcoming storm, suddenly he came out with a plan. “ Why don’t you come home? Aaran was plainly staring and admiring her when Ilakiya was on the call with Jeeva. “ I told you many times not to stare at me like this. I get too shy. ” She expressed false anger. Aaran smiled. “ Is everything fine there? Or should we go there and help them? ” He asked with care. “ Jeeva said it’s all been taken care of. We will go and visit the baby tomorrow. Jeeva unwillingly gave the baby back to the nurse but stared continuously as though the baby may be returned back to her. As expected the nurse came back but she got dejected as she came with empty hands. “ You can see your friend in a while after she regains her consciousness. ” The nurse said and smiled. Jeeva was feeling wonderful. She had never held a baby before. No one had ever given her. She felt she could feel a mother in her now. Ilakiya saw her once more in the mirror at the washroom of the mall. Aaran had brought her to a mall after a fantastic ride at the sea for lunch. She had come to the washroom to refresh herself. As she looked into the mirror, she never felt more radiant before. She felt she looked lovely. This was the first time she admired her so much that she started blushing. She came out and went to the food court where Aaran was waiting for her. She went and sat beside him. He handed the menu card to her. She usually ordered the same thing at all restaurants and he will always advise her to try something new.
